Hull-based D&P Haulage has replaced Eurovision Logistics at the United Pallet Network (UPN) covering the HU postcode.
D&P joined UPN in May 2011 after eight years with UK Pallets to cover the YO postcode, following Scarborough’s TEF Transport move to Palletforce.
D&P, founded in 1984 by brothers Paul and David Charlton, has an annual turnover of £6m and runs 49 HGVs (18 and 26-tonne rigids as well as artics) and 30 trailers (including three double-decks).
Located near the Port of Hull where it has a 50,000ft² warehouse and employs 60 staff, the general haulier’s customers include flooring company Kingspan Acess Floors and manufacturer Bericap.
Joint MD Paul Charlton says: “UPN offers a better range of services [for us], and we’ve also been very impressed with their IT.”
