Dundee-based owner-operator CJ Lang & Son has put 19 MAN’s onto its fleet servicing over 300 Spar convenience stores across Scotland.
The family retail and distribution firm, which holds four O-licences for a combined 89 vehicles and 36 trailers, has taken delivery of 16 MAN TGS 6×2 drawbar units and three TGS tractor units from MAN Truck & Bus Fife in Halbeath.
Distribution director John Leitch said: “We didn’t simply replace MANs for MANs with no due process. We took time to look at all the leading manufacturer’s offerings; we compiled a detailed matrix comparison, and made our selection on a pragmatic basis as well as previous experience.”
Leitch also added that MANs fleet management and driver monitoring systems were also key to its decision to take the MANs. CJ Lang & Son delivers over 1,000 loads to 300 Spar stores throughout Scotland.
